Ipods
in cars
IPods are slowly becoming more popular as the music provider in cars the world over. In keeping with the customer
preference for iPods in cars, car manufacturers have begun offering ipod adaptors for several of their models to
give the customer what he wants.
Legendary car maker Ferrari plans to offer totes that merge the Ipod made by Apple with their car stereo systems.
Mercedes-Benz and Volvo, two other giants in the car manufacturing trade are also the first two companies to
announce their plans to integrate Ipod adapters in many of their models. These Ipod
accessories for car makes it possible for drivers to enjoy music cached in the iPods along their car audio
controls with even steering wheel mounted buttons for easy usage. Alfa Romeo and Nissan will soon follow suit and
provide Ipod adapters.
However the trend setter was BMW who first offered iPod adapters in their cars in 2004 and now build various models
whose steering wheels integrate the iPod regulators. They are also have integrated a iPod stereo adapter for many
models.
Even several car stereo manufacturers have started offering adapters to make it possible to connect iPods straight
to their audio system which gives an indication of the demand for iPods in cars. Car stereo brand Alpine has the
adapter which can connect iPods to several of their stereos. Pioneer and Clarion have also joined the
bandwagon.
The iPod has certainly created a revolution among the car owners who
want to take their entire music collection wherever they travel including their cars and this is the reason
for almost all major car manufacturers to adapt to the new requirements as technology finds its way to the
people in so many different ways. A stage will soon reach when iPods will replace car stereos as the sole
music provider for all car owners.
